Maya Crowne | Alkemis Paint | Co-Founder and CEO

Maya is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alkemis Paint. Maya began her career on Wall Street, working with some of the world’s foremost financial institutions and investment funds.

 After more than five years in New York’s financial heart, Maya moved to Austin, Texas, where she started at Workrise (then known as RigUp), a Founders Fund-backed tech startup. Here, she fostered her entrepreneurial spirit and began to consider combining her formidable corporate experience with her drive to create new businesses.

 After leaving Workrise, Maya spent several years at the helm of her own beauty start. More recently, she rejoined the fast-paced corporate world managing the Lowe’s Business Rewards Card for American Express.

 Maya is deeply passionate about art and volunteer work and is involved in numerous projects across New York City. She is a junior art collector and philanthropist. She was heavily involved in the development of Women’s Initiative for a Sustainable Earth (WISE), a grassroots initiative founded by female Hampton locals to fight for education about the impact of rising global temperatures on Long Island as well as the Women’s Venture Fund, an organization aimed at empowering women in business. She organized an on-the-ground initiative to provide aid to her ancestral home of Lebanon during the devastating 2020 Beirut Explosion and currently works with homeless youth rehabilitation. 


Price Latimer | Alkemis Paint | Co-Founder and CCO

 Price is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Alkemis Paint. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked with a broad range of clients and collaborators on creative direction, fine art, interiors, branding, hospitality and entrepreneurial endeavors. Price has an extensive education in art and design, having studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, Parsons School of Design, and Brown University, living in France, Mexico, and New Zealand in the process.

 Price is accredited by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and has served on multiple boards and the leadership teams of various nonprofits, including the Board of Trustees of the Santa Monica Museum of Art (now the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles) and Board of Directors of the MOCA Contemporaries (Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles).

 While attending RISD, she worked in New York City for acclaimed neo-conceptualist painter Peter Halley and his magazine, Index. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2000, she worked in blue chip art galleries, then as Manager of the cutting-edge Italian furniture company, Kartell.

 In 2005, she began working as a private art dealer and consultant specializing in emerging, contemporary, and post-war art for private residences, collections, and commercial spaces. As an independent curator, Price has organized group exhibitions in London, Los Angeles, and Marfa, TX. In 2010, she co-founded her last venture, Pizzanista!, growing the company to over 55 employees with restaurants in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Seoul.
